Spring is sprung once again…
And we awake from our hibernation with renewed vigour for the months ahead. We stretch and and yawn and emerge from the cocoon that has been protecting us through the dark months.
The colours are changing around us, the sun is brighter, the clouds are whiter, the sky is bluer, spring is finally here…
Our lives are so manic, have you had time to stop and look around you? Have you stopped for a few moments to smell the change in the air? Shower in the beauty of our world?
During the winter months we should have been sleeping when it got dark and awakening when it was getting light, did you do that? Did you nurture your body? I know I didn’t – life has changed beyond this but our cycles are moving as quickly.
We sit in shorts, with the central heating on full power, eating strawberries and ice-cream… Our bodies haven’t caught up with these life style choices either.
As we head in to spring, did you know the food in season will nourish you more? And eating local produce is even better…
Asparagus, broccoli, kale, leeks, purple sprouting broccoli, spinach, spring onions, and watercress are either in season are coming in to season in April.
